Saraswati Puja 2016: Goddess Saraswati’s B’day.
Every year samskrita Bharathi conducts pooja on the ocassion of Vasantha panchami.
It is strongly believed that Goddess Saraswati was born on the day of Basant Panchami. White is believed to be the favorite color of Goddess Saraswati. That’s why her idol is adorned with white clothes and white lotus.
At the time of Vasant Panchami celebration, devotees offer sweets to the Goddess. After that, these sweets are distributed among the devotees as ‘Prasad’ (holy food). On the day of Vasant Panchami, the other custom followed by the devotees is worshiping the ancestors. This Pooja (prayer) is named as ‘Pitri-Tarpan’.

Pujya Sri Acharya Narendra Kaapre's speech on dravya samarpanam purpose is simply superb, also his references to R'ug veda texts w.r.t., dravaya samarpanam is appreciable.
ReplyDeleteThe key note given by Sri Sai Baba is quite eye opening for many people that giving is possible if wish n will is there not the resource. It's great opportunity to utilize the facility he promised voluntarily to allocate the Sai Baba temple premises for this Noble cause. Also, it's appreciable that he offered a free prasadam during day hours.
